In an interview with The Toronto Star, MasterCard Foundation President and CEO Reeta Roy traced her work at The MasterCard Foundation back to her family’s journey from its roots in rural India and Thailand, to her upbringing in Malaysia.
Reeta’s mother mortgaged the family home to pay for Reeta’s education. And it was this sacrifice that, Reeta says, sparked her success. From there, Reeta would draw her own path through high school to university and beyond. Later transforming The MasterCard Foundation from a small organization with a handful of employees to one of the world’s largest private foundations.
