Young Africa Works 2017 Summit Report
The 2017 Young Africa Works Summit, held in Kigali, Rwanda on February 16 and 17, brought together more than 300 experts from across Africa and the world to discuss how the continent’s youth are driving agricultural transformation, as well as the barriers that still exist.
The contributions of the Summit’s almost 50 youth delegates, and young people alike, allow us to remain optimistic about innovations across the agricultural value chain and the future of the sector. As one youth delegate, Rita Kimani, said, “Young minds and big ideas are what Africa needs to make agricultural transformation a reality.”
