Douglas Baillie

Doug Baillie was Chief Human Resources Officer of Unilever. Mr. Baillie started his career with Unilever in 1978 in South Africa, which has seen him taking various sales and marketing appointments and serving in a number of leadership roles around the world. He has served as the Managing Director for Lever Pond in South Africa in 1997 and became the National Manager for Unilever South Africa in May 2000. Mr. Baillie was appointed as Group Vice President of Africa, Middle East and Turkey in 2004 and moved to India in March 2006 as CEO for Hindustan Unilever Limited and Group Vice President South Asia. Mr. Baillie also served as the President of Western Europe, joining the Unilever Executive Board in 2008. Mr. Baillie is a member of the Leverhulme Trust Board, one of the largest all-subject providers of research funding in the UK and serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Huhtamaki Group. Mr. Baillie graduated from the University of Natal in South Africa with majors in business finance, marketing, and business administration.
