CAMFED
CAMFED catalyzes the power of the most vulnerable girls and young women to create the future they imagine: for themselves, for their communities, and for Africa.
In partnership with the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED), the Mastercard Foundation supports young women to complete secondary education and transition successfully into higher education, vocational training, or employment. Programs combine bursaries, academic support, mentorship, and wraparound services with school and community-level interventions, including leadership development, safe learning spaces, and re-entry policies for young mothers. These efforts nurture self-agency, resilience, and long-term opportunities for girls to thrive.
