Adeline Sibanda is the Acting Chief Impact, Research, and Learning Officer at the Mastercard Foundation, leading the Foundation’s strategies on impact, research, learning, and knowledge management. With over 30 years of experience in strategy, program design, research, and monitoring and evaluation, she is deeply committed to gender-responsive programming and integrating evaluative evidence through cultural and contextual perspectives in policy and program development.

Adeline’s career began in research before expanding into program development and evaluation. She has played a key role in shaping gender strategies and policies for various organizations. Her work spans over 25 African countries, collaborating with civil society organizations, governments, private sector entities, UN agencies, and other development partners to drive evidence-based decision-making.

She joined the Mastercard Foundation’s impact team as a Senior Resident in September 2022, leading the Made in Africa Evaluation Initiative. In October 2023, she transitioned to advising the PANA program platform on impact, and in May 2024, she was appointed Senior Director, Programs Impact Support and Advisory.

A leader in the global evaluation community, Adeline is the former Co-Chair of EvalPartners, past President of the International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE), and past President of the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA).
