Paul Kasanga
Country Director, Ghana
Paul Kasanga is the Interim Country Director for Ghana at the Mastercard Foundation, where he leads the strategic and operational delivery of the Foundation’s country portfolio.
Paul brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in international development, with a strong track record of managing complex, multi-country programs across Africa. At the Foundation, he previously served as Country Programs Head and Head of Program Operations and Planning, where he advanced portfolio performance and execution discipline and strengthened alignment across countries.
Earlier in his career, Paul was Regional Director for Africa at Room to Read and held Country Director roles with Dalhousie University and Save the Children in Ethiopia. In these roles, he led large-scale programs focused on education, livelihoods, and economic development. His experience also includes regional and global roles with World Vision, ChildFund International, and ADRA.
Paul holds a Master of Arts in Leading Innovation and Change from York St John University in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Nairobi. He is also an International Coaching Federation-accredited leadership coach.
