Sewit Ahderom

She has advised on initiatives that apply emerging technologies to expand learning for displaced communities and has also guided organizations on the effective adoption of AI to address critical humanitarian challenges. Before this role, Sewit co-founded Gro Intelligence, serving as Chief Operating Officer and building a global AI-driven platform that delivers insights on agriculture, climate, and economic development.

Prior to Gro, Sewit was Vice President at Helios Investment Partners, an Africa-focused private investment fund. She also worked with an investment arm of the Aga Khan Development Network, focusing on food systems and infrastructure development and was a Vice President at Citigroup’s Investment Banking division in New York. Sewit holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Columbia University.
