Sewit Ahderom

Sewit Ahderom is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in developed and emerging markets. As the former Co-Founder and COO of Gro Intelligence, she helped establish a data and analytics platform that delivers crucial insights for agriculture, climate action, and economic development. Originating from Nairobi, Gro Intelligence grew under her leadership to become a global leader in the use of AI for complex analysis in the agricultural ecosystem and enabling companies to hedge against climate risk.

Previously, she served as Vice President of Helios Investment Partners, an Africa-focused private investment fund managing more than $4 billion in capital. Before that, Sewit worked with the investment arm of the Aga Khan Development Network, focusing on food, agro-processing and infrastructure development and as Vice President at Citigroup’s Investment Banking division in New York. Sewit is a member of two other Boards. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Columbia University.
