Vendor Policies and Guidelines

Our vendors and contractors play an important role in our efforts to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to learn and prosper.

Our procurement efforts strive to get the most value for money in a manner that supports integritytransparency, and fairness in accordance with our organizational values and objectives. The “best value for money” principle in the procurement process means considering all relevant factors to best meet the Foundation’s needs, including the costs and impact of the purchase to the Foundation. Our key procurement principles are defined as follows:

  • Integrity – Adherence to commonly accepted moral and ethical standards and actions that promote honesty and decency.
  • Transparency – Requirements and criteria are clearly defined, and information related to policies, procedures and opportunities are communicated openly and equally with potential vendors.
  • Fairness – Equal opportunity to potential vendors by adhering to a process free from personal preference, bias, self-interest, and favouritism.

All potential vendors who wish to do business with the Foundation are required to accept and comply with our vendor and contractor guidelines and policies, including the Vendor Code of Conduct and Child/Youth Protection Guidelines.

Vendors and contractors are expected to disclose to the Foundation situations that may appear as a conflict of interest.
