The World Food Programme’s Regional Agricultural Work Initiative is a five-year program implemented across eight African countries: Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda. The initiative aims to create 674,000 agricultural work opportunities for young people by reducing post-harvest losses and improving market access. Through targeted training, value chain services, and agribusiness support, the program equips youth with the tools and skills needed to thrive in Africa’s evolving agri-food systems.
