Cyber School Technology Solutions is a premier provider of quality educational services and works with experienced educators and technocrats across the globe in designing and developing digital educational systems for improved communication and easy access to syllabus-specific lessons on science and mathematics. In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, Cyber School Technology Solutions is implementing an e-learning program aimed at improving access to quality and relevant education for young people.

Target Impact

To facilitate higher Education Institutions to adapt to the changing educational landscape and better meet the needs of learners by supporting the successful implementation of e-Learning. Addressing the skills mismatch between graduates and employability, enhancing support systems for inclusive education and employment for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Ultimately, the initiative aims to equip learners with relevant skills to transition into meaningful and dignified work.

Target: 12,500 Youth in Work

Geographical location: Countrywide (Central, North, East, West, South).

Objectives:
Increased access to market-responsive education and training systems through integration of work readiness and
entrepreneurship skills.
Enhanced delivery of quality online education and skilling among Education Institutions and other skilling institutions.

Impact to Date

    Piloted the e-learning model in 7 Education Institutions. Of these, 2 are Business, Technical Vocational Education and Training institutions and 5 are universities).

    Students reached with internet access and e-learning.

    Students are using the e-learning materials like laptops to enhance their skills.

    Customized and installed the Learning Management Systems (LMS) in all 7 Education institutions.

Partnership Focus

Develop and deploy a work readiness and entrepreneurship skills course to 95,000 young men and women and link 12,500 students to work opportunities.

Develop and implement a strategy, framework and action plan with education and private sector stakeholders to address skills mismatch.

Develop and deploy eLearning policies in 20 Education Institutions.

Train the instructors in the digitization of content, digital pedagogy and inclusive instructional design.

Provide affordable access to internet connectivity and devices to students and deploy an online Learning and Management System (LMS) platform to 16 EIs.

Train instructors and students to use the online LMS, including 250 students with disabilities, 978 refugees and about 52,000 students in rural parts of Uganda.
