EleV supports language revitalization to enable Indigenous young people to lead, prosper and thrive.
Indigenous young people are leaders in their families, communities, Nations and across Canada.
And they have stated unequivocally that revitalization of Indigenous languages and cultures—and embedding Indigenous ways of knowing, being and learning—is critical for their success in post-secondary education, their transitions into meaningful livelihoods, and in support of self-determination.
Indigenous Youth: Our Vision, Our Future, Our Languagesfeatures the voices, perspectives, and experiences of Indigenous youth from many Nations and regions across Canada.
EleV is committed to working in committed and sustained relationships with Indigenous youth and partners to transform systems of education and employment. Language revitalization is central to this work.
This video series provides one path to listen to and honour the value and significance of language for Indigenous young people today and generations to come.
