About the Children Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF)
CRVPF is a child’s rights and social justice, regional intermediary organization that seeks to advance the rights of children and young people. The organization was established in April 2015 with the objective of preventing violence against children and young people in the East African region, encompassing Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. CRVPF achieved this through grant-making and developing community-based organizations’ capacity, enabling them to effectively implement violence prevention initiatives and sustain these interventions beyond a program’s duration.
About gnuGrid CRB
gnuGrid CRB Limited (gnuGrid CRB) is an indigenous Credit Reference Bureau licensed and supervised by the Bank of Uganda. gnuGrid collects credit and transactional data on individual and non-individual borrowers, validates and profiles it into meaningful profiles that are disseminated in the form of credit reports and credit scores to enable credit providers to make informed lending decisions. These credit reports and credit scores also help borrowers prove their creditworthiness when attempting to get credit from financial institutions. gnuGrid serves all tiers of Uganda’s financial space but has a primary focus on last-mile credit consumers who mainly access credit through tier 4 financial institutions.
