The Cheikh Hamidou Kane Digital University (formerly UVS) was created in 2013 with the aim of ensuring equitable access to higher education. The university operates on a blended learning model with physical terminals (Espaces Numériques Ouverts – ENO), allowing for a combination of face-to-face teaching and online training. In 10 years, UN-CHK has become a key player in the Senegalese higher education landscape and a major training institution in the digital field in the country. The ENO hosts coworking spaces that are favourable to the development of a creative, innovative, and high-level digital entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout the country, capable of creating direct and indirect jobs for young people, particularly for young women and girls.
