MSME Revitalization Project An innovative approach to agribusiness training and start-up for Nigeria young people within the Young Africa Works Program (IITA)

Target Impact

The project is designed to advance agribusiness opportunities to over 16,000 Nigerian young women and men, focusing on skills development, decent employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities to secure work in agri-food value chains.

 

Accelerating youth-owned enterprises through agribusiness clusters and youth club networks; strengthening the education ecosystem by improving agriculture curriculum, training tools, and trainer capacities in secondary and vocational institutions.

Improving capacities of learning centres and strengthening the formation and functioning of youth agrihubs.

Delivering practical technical training in modern agriculture and agribusiness management along geographically relevant high-value chains

Equipping and supporting vocational training centres to transition into Youth Agribusiness Parks and Hubs

Collaborating with financial and other institutions to develop loan and agribusiness support programs relevant to young people.

Establishing a platform to coordinate collaborative activities and link to other relevant Young Africa Works activities.
