Competency-based Education and Training (CBET) courses have been launched launched at 101 TVET institutions across 33 counties in Kenya.
Partnership Focus
The courses offer trainees market-relevant skills that increases their chances of finding relevant work or self-employment opportunities and are certified by the Kenya School of TVET. A Teacher Learning Centre was also established to support continuous mentorship and coaching of trainers (teachers) beyond the program.
Join a TVET institution and receive quality CBET training in your preferred area. The training also gives you extra entrepreneurship skills that make it easy for you to set yourself up as an entrepreneur.
If you already have skills in a field that you received on the job (e.g. trained as a mechanic in a garage or as an electrician on a construction site, etc), you can acquire certificates for these without having to go back to class. So far, Recognition of Prior Learning units have been set up in nine TVET institutions to offer these certificates.
Be part of generating new technologies in your field – 10 TVET institutions are incubating innovations in partnership with industry, students, and the community. The idea is to generate localized solutions in agricultural production, cost-effective energy and environmental solutions, with the aim of bridging entrepreneurship and employment gaps.
