In line with promoting connections and learning to deepen program impact, the Mastercard Foundation in Ghana recently convened over 30 partners at its annual Partner Convening in Accra.

From partners working in digital innovation to others in the government sector, grains, shea and agriculture-financing to academia and private sector leaders, including Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Partners and Pan-African program Partners, the diversity of attendees fostered rich discussions and exchange of ideas aimed at advancing a collective mission of empowering young men and women across Ghana and propelling our impact of enabling 3 million young people in dignified and fulfilling work.

The one-day event brought to the fore that the Foundation and Partners were on track to achieve the goal of enabling work for 3 million young Ghanaians, especially women. However, it also established the awareness that to scale and enable access to dignified and fulfilling work, partners needed to see this as a shared goal and, therefore, deepen collaboration across thematic sectors and establish program linkages to leverage each other’s strengths for a multiplier effect.
