A Métis-owned post-secondary and cultural institution dedicated to promoting the renewal and development of Métis culture.
GDI delivers Métis-specific educational programs, services and resources, while supporting research, materials development, collection and distribution.
Grounded in Métis culture, GDI provides high-quality, culturally specific education and training that responds to student, community and labour market needs. The institute is a conservator of Métis history and culture, a national leader in Michif-language initiatives and a trusted partner to students, clients, communities, governments, funders and stakeholders.
GDI is a Mastercard Foundation Fellows Program partner and will host the inaugural cohort of Fellows, providing culturally grounded support and connecting them with mentorship, training and leadership development opportunities.
