The IPF supports Indigenous women, youth, and early-stage entrepreneurs to start and grow thriving businesses.
This partnership will create a dynamic ecosystem equipping Indigenous youth with the skills, resources, and networks to thrive as entrepreneurs. Together, we share the goal to build sustainable youth entrepreneurship programming which educates, empowers, and builds the confidence of Indigenous youth in Canada.
This partnership will include:
• Developing and enhancing the entrepreneurial, financial, digital skills and overall business acumen of Indigenous youth in Canada.
• Convening an Indigenous youth entrepreneurship collaborative of Indigenous youth organizations, economic development entities, government agencies, and private sector partners to strengthen linkages and streamline coordination across the ecosystem.
• Providing Indigenous youth with relevant technology, digital tools and seed grants to create a safe, supportive environment to test and advance business ideas.
• Providing access to mentors and coaches with experience and expertise in accounting, business, legal, marketing, and/or industry-specific support to ensure youth participants can successfully launch their businesses.
• Establishing a First Nation Procurement Organization to provide streamlined, coordinated single window access enabling youth entrepreneurs to benefit for government Indigenous procurement policies.
