Ripple Effect Uganda works with smallholder farming households, targeting rural women, refugees, youth, orphaned, and vulnerable children, and persons with disabilities to overcome poverty and malnutrition by increasing agricultural production and productivity, developing on- and off-farm enterprises, increasing access to finance and non-financial development services, building resilience to climate change, teaching natural resource management techniques, and addressing gender inequality. In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, Ripple Effect is implementing the Youth Inclusive Dairy Market System intervention to unlock barriers to young people’s participation in the dairy sector. To help young people find work, the program uses tried-and-true models, including the Village Agent, Community Animal Health Worker, and Collective Marketing models.
