Litsa Popowich

Litsa Popowich is Executive Director and Global Controller at the Mastercard Foundation. Litsa joined the Foundation in 2021 and oversees Finance Planning & Analysis, Technical Accounting, Finance Shared Services, and Tax Compliance. She also oversees the Enterprise Modernization Office (EMO), which led the recent implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Litsa has served as a senior finance executive and business advisor for over 25 years. She has worked in a number of industries, including telecommunications and media, hospitality, grocery, pharma and retail services. She has worked at some of Canada’s largest public and private companies, including past roles at Rogers Communications (SVP Finance Media), Loblaw Companies Limited (SVP Controller), and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (VP Risk Management).

Litsa is as adept at finance and accounting standards and processes as she is in leadership. Her experience spans co-leading strategic business decisions with the C-suite; building strong relationships with executive teams, audit committees, and boards; overseeing and reinventing Shared Services; and implementing ERP systems. Litsa is a CPA, CA, based in Toronto and is married with two sons.
