Safeguarding for Program Partners and Implementers
Safeguarding Standards We Uphold Together with Program Partners and Implementers
Policy
Organizations should maintain a safeguarding policy that outlines commitments to preventing harm, how concerns will be responded to, and behaviour expectations for staff and participants.
People
Organizations are encouraged to use safe recruitment and vetting practices, clearly define safeguarding roles and focal points, and also train staff and associates regularly.
Procedures
Organizations should have processes for reporting and responding to incidents, and for conducting risk assessments. Processes should also be in place to manage data, images, and digital engagement, and to plan safe events, digital sessions, and other interactions with participants.
Accountability
Organizations can strengthen safeguarding by monitoring progress against safeguarding commitments, ensuring sub-partners and sub-contractors follow safeguarding measures, and regularly reviewing and updating safeguarding practices.
Safeguarding concerns can be reported through your organization's safeguarding focal point, your internal reporting channels, or the Foundation's Program Lead or Safeguarding lead.
Serious concerns should be reported within 72 hours. The Foundation follows a confidential, constructive, and survivor-centred process when concerns arise.
