What We Do

The Mastercard Foundation works with visionary organizations to advance education and financial inclusion to enable young people in Africa and Indigenous youth in Canada to access dignified, meaningful, and fulfilling work.

We believe that youth employment is key to unlocking prosperity.

By 2030, through our Young Africa Works strategy, we aim to enable 30 million young people in Africa, particularly young women, to access dignified and fulfilling work. In Canada, the EleV Program aims to support 100,000 Indigenous youth through post-secondary education and on to meaningful livelihoods.

Our goal with EleV is to enable 100,000 Indigenous young people in Canada to complete post-secondary education and transition to meaningful livelihoods by 2030. This will transform education and employment systems based on the vision and values of Indigenous youth.
