Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) is the Entrepreneurship Centre of the Pan-Atlantic University. EDC is an experienced and well-established provider of entrepreneurship and management training in the marketplace. The organization has operated for 20 years and has a verifiable track record of building talent and honing business management skills. This partnership enables Young Africa Works Nigeria to leverage EDC’s existing content, expertise, and platforms to drive upskilling, linkages, and the growth of young entrepreneurs in the market.

Target Impact
Provide 200,000 MSMEs with entrepreneurial and managerial capacity-building support, with 80 percent creating new work opportunities. Also support the most promising businesses with vital Business Development Services (BDS), business acceleration, and market and financial linkages. Committed to ensuring even the most marginalized can access this world-class training and business support, EDC is embedding IVR technology into content delivery platforms, enabling offline access and establishing a virtual mentorship platform.

Support
EDC is currently supporting the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) through training and curriculum reviews for accreditation of Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs), with the aim of ensuring standardization of services that BDSPs provide to MSMEs in Nigeria.
