The Mastercard Foundation CGAP Membership Program

The Mastercard Foundation CGAP Membership, led by the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), is a five-year global initiative focused on advancing financial inclusion for young people, particularly young women, in Africa. Through a combination of applied research, innovative financial mechanisms, and policy development, the program aims to expand access to responsible, youth-friendly financial services, including the digitization of microfinance. By supporting inclusive financial ecosystems, the initiative empowers young people, particularly young women, to build financial resilience, unlock economic opportunities and alleviate poverty for themselves and others.
