This special edition of EdTech Mondays Africa comes live from the 2025 ADEA Triennale in Accra, Ghana, where African leaders, policymakers, educators, and partners are gathered to reflect on how to strengthen the resilience of Africa’s education systems.
The episode will feature Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, Ghana, as the main guest. He will reflect on the 10 Recommendations from the 2024 EdTech Conference - a blueprint for delivering the future of learning in Africa - sharing perspectives on Ghana’s own reforms and continental priorities.
The discussion will be enriched by vox pops from youth, educators, development partners, ADEA, the Mastercard Foundation, and the World Bank, offering diverse voices on the relevance of the recommendations to real challenges and opportunities.
This episode also highlights the ongoing partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and the World Bank in supporting Ghana’s Ministry of Education and its agency, CENDLOS, to draft a comprehensive National EdTech Strategy, underscoring the importance of data, inclusivity, and innovation in policy-making.
