Women and Youth Economic Empowerment in Fisheries (WEEF) through Inclusive Market Access

Women and Youth Economic Empowerment in Fisheries through Inclusive Market Access is a five-year program in partnership with the AfCFTA Secretariat and implemented by Trademark Africa. The initiative aims to create access to 242,000 dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for young women by addressing the economic, cultural, and policy barriers that limit their participation in aquaculture and fisheries. Using an integrated value chain approach, the program focuses on skill development, improving access to finance and digital tools, and strengthening safeguarding and regulatory frameworks, particularly around cross-border market access.
