By setting aside 2024 as the Year of Education, African leaders wanted to create a period of heightened advocacy and ramp up investment and commitment to education. This way, governments and partners ought to place education at the top of the political agenda, emphasizing the importance of equitable domestic public financing, while turning high-level commitments into concrete actions.
