Young women are at the forefront of Africa’s digital transformation. To celebrate the achievements of women in the technology ecosystem in Ghana, the Gender and Safeguarding Community of Practice (CoP) of the Mastercard Foundation spoke with female program participants. These conversations spotlight the fundamental need and responsibility of all stakeholders and partners to ensure and expand policies addressing women and their access to technology.
Women’s access to technology can be improved through access to internet, data, laptops, and access to spaces where these women can learn.
This video series highlights the women breaking barriers in Ghana’s growing tech ecosystem. Watch these incredible women share their motivations and discuss actions needed to improve women’s access to technology.
When we provide mentorship and networking opportunities to young women and girls, they will have access to women, especially those who have made it in the tech spaces.
