Rica Rwigamba

Rica Rwigamba is the Country Director for the Mastercard Foundation in Ghana. Rica comes to the Foundation with deep expertise across multiple facets of the Rwandan tourism and hospitality industry. For more than ten years, she has been active across the tourism and hospitality sector as an independent consultant, a leader within non-profits, and an entrepreneur. Previously, Rica was the Head of Tourism and Conservation at the Rwanda Development Board where her responsibilities included tourism investment promotion, tourism marketing, and stakeholder coordination. She has served on multiple national and regional boards within the sector and has a deep network across Rwanda and the region.

At the core of it all, she is an entrepreneur at heart who combines a passion for leadership, entrepreneurship and social impact.

Rica holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Makerere University and an MBA from Oklahoma Christian University.
